Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years Vascular, Open Heart, Endovascular Surgical experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred.
• Previous travel preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• Completion of OR internship program preferred.
• Successful completion of Period 101 preferred.
• Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) preferred.

Unit Details:

• Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers necessary for completion of surgery.
• Provides preop, intraop, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
• Anticipates the scrub nurse’s needs, opens sterile packs, operates equipment, and keeps accurate records.
• Cares for patients across the lifespan, from neonates through geriatrics.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Four 9hr or 10hr shifts or five 8hr shifts (36 or 40 hours - 40hrs preferred).
• On-call: 10-12 call segments/month.

Floating Requirements:

• Required to float to Toledo market should a need arise.
