Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Past procedural experience in hospital-based GI lab.
- Able to function as an RN and endo tech.
Required Credentials:
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Unit Details:
- Patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures.
- Most procedures are MAC sedation with anesthesia present; some moderate sedation procedures.
- Uses Epic Op-Time to chart.
- Procedures include colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, colon with EMR, EGD with dilation, and EUS with fine needle aspiration.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mon-Fri 0715-1745 3 days a week, 0645-1715 one day a week. One off day a week.
- Call rotation for weekends every 8-10 weeks from 1730 Friday to 0700 Monday.
- Call rotation for a weeknight about once every two weeks, 1730-0700.
- No scheduled weekend shifts.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to other areas as needed for operational needs.
