Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• Not accepting first-time travelers.
• Strong CVOR background required across all specialties; must be able to work independently with minimal guidance in CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, and Fem-Pop bypass.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Robotic surgery

• Time off: Up to 7 days; request approval for any additional time.

Unit Details:

• Patient Types: Cardio and Thoracic surgeries - CVOR cases include CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, and Fem-Pop bypass.
• Surgical team will always have 2 RNs per case (circulator and Med RN); travelers will only circulate.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Monday-Friday schedule.
• Weekend rotation is on-call only.
• Rotating call assignments based on current staffing, generally 2-3 overnight call shifts per month; weekend call once per month, Sat/Sun 0700-0700.
• 30 min response time; no sleep room available.
• Holidays are on-call only, as needed.
• Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts.
