Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.

Required Skills/Experience: Will accept a Med/Surg or Stepdown RN; same credentialing for both skills.

Required Credentials: Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, whether it is PCU or Med/Surg/Tele, based on skills. Will float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
