Travel Allied (Cytotechnologist) - Laboratory Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Outpatient lab experience required.
• Non-gynecological skills/experience: Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Thin-Prep.
• Respiratory tract skills/experience: Bronchial.
• Body fluid test skills/experience: Urine.
• Fine needle aspiration skills/experience: Assist, Make smears, Preliminary Diagnosis, Staining.
• Special stains/organisms skills/experience: PAP.
• Assist with on-site procedures, quality control/quality assurance, and specimen labeling/identification.
• Experience with/ability to perform QC required.
• Cyto lab Prep experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Teaching hospital experience.
• Community hospital experience.
• LTAC experience.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation

Special Requests:

• Allied clinicians that do not require a state license in hand must arrive 3 days prior to start for fingerprints.
• Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Mon-Fri; no weekends.
• No call.
• 13-26 weeks available.
