Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Unit

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: Must have at least 1 year hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist

Must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass.

Must have MS oncology and at least 1 inpatient hematology oncology experience

Must have exp with Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias - Hard Stop

Skills Required: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs

Required Credentials: Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC)

Unit / Facility Details: Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Can not apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Shift & Scheduling: Days / Nights or Nights

Weekends: Variable based on unit needs

Self-schedule requests accepted to accommodate preferred schedules before finalizing

If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirement: To other MedSurg Oncology units

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
