Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted with cardiothoracic ICU experience and/or critical care experience. Must have experience and be proficient with Swan-Ganz monitoring. Previous Charge Experience: Required

Special Requests: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. High acuity cardiac ICU. ECMO cannulation and bronchoscopy. S/P CABG; valve repairs/replacements; aneurysm repairs; heart/kidney transplant; VAD implantation. Ratios typically 1:1, 1:2 but in extreme situations can go up to 1:3 if patients are waiting to be transferred out to SD or floor.

Shift & Scheduling: No call. Every other weekend (AM shift - Saturday & Sunday, PM shift - Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night). The schedule is made by the assistant managers on a 6-week basis. Schedule switches are allowed with equal skill mix. Requests can be made, but are not guaranteed, as equal skill mix and number of nurses are needed for each shift. Days off agreed upon within the contract are honored.

Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to other HVC ICUs. Float required to ICU and PCU.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
