Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required skills/experience: Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) & 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required. Candidates cannot move forward in the interview process without experience without Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips.

Required credentials: Must be able to pass EKG test 1st week of hire.

Shift & schedule requirements: On Call/Call Back Requirements: Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed. Unit will typically low census in 4 hr increments and could ask for a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hrs of the shift. This is not considered to be on call. Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

Floating requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed.

Unit and facility details: Intermediate cardiac stepdown. Fast paced, high patient turnover. Post op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, Vascular, Arrhythmia, CHF, Post procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, Acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow i.e. detox, DKA, COPD exac, resp failure, Fem Pop Bypass.
