Required Skills/Experience:
MS and inpatient hematology oncology experience required (1 year minimum).
Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass.
Experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma/Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and multiple myeloma required.
MS/Tele experience required.
Telemetry monitoring.
Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Use of Rapid Response Teams.
Feeding tube care and management.
Blood product administration.
Central line blood draw.
Peripheral line care/management.
PICC line management.
Nasal cannula administration.
Central line sterile dressing changes.
Chemotherapy administration.
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
Mixed acuity PCU and MS oncology/BMT unit.
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Patient population includes acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia, amyloidosis, aplastic anemia, chronic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic myeloid leukemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative disorders, and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Autologous transplants: patients receive their own stem cells.
Syngeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their identical twin.
Allogeneic transplants: patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor.
CAR-T therapy.
Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
Uses GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.
Floating Requirements:
Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
