References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months; direct employment (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, is not allowed, but PRN employment through outside firms will be considered.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

  • Uses Meditech.
  • Primarily inpatient acute care.
  • Mostly performs evaluations at this site, with an expectation of 1 completed eval per hour; if seeing patients for daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treats in an 8 hr shift.
  • Works with rehab support staff, including PTAs and techs; average staff includes 5 PTAs and 2-3 techs.
  • May be asked to precept as needed by the unit.
  • Patient populations include telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medical; mostly adults and older teens.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 2 full weekends per month with comp days during the week; possibility of up to 3 on a 5 weekend month.
  • Alternate holidays.
  • No call.

Floating Requirements:

  • First to float.
  • Primary area is acute care for Bryan hospital; possible coverage at College Station acute care hospital, though expected to be very minimal.
