Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of experience with this patient population.
Unit Details: Nurse:patient ratios are 1:4, or 1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours. Patients require intermediate care and include downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Common diagnoses include CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR, and other cardiac and vascular-related diagnoses. RNs are required to titrate drips, including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and other blood pressure management medications. Cares for patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula. Remote tele tech support with hardwired and tele box capabilities; RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuity.
