Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- New graduates considered.
Required Credentials:
- Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
Unit Details:
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages.
- Inpatient rehab setting within a Level 1 Trauma center.
- Inpatient rehab unit with >50% neuro (CVA, TBI, nTBI, SCI), LE amputation, and multi-trauma patients.
- Acute PT caseload of ~190 patients.
- Evaluates and implements intervention plans utilizing activities that are functional in nature and takes into consideration the functional and emotional needs of the patient/family.
- Collaborates with patient, family and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process and provides education/family training as necessary.
- Provides supervision to PTA and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Clearly communicates patient performance, change in status, activity/transfer recommendations, and recommendations for discharge disposition and equipment required for the next level of care with the medical team.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mon-Fri.
- No holiday shifts.
Floating Requirements:
- Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
