An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 1 year OB setting.
- First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience.
- OB, C-section, C.N.A. support, and use of the Jada system for hemorrhage.
Required Credentials:
- Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program required.
Special Requests:
- Blackout dates: Christmas and New Year's.
Unit Details:
- Only C-section cases, both planned and emergent, averaging 3-4 cases per day.
- Will assist with transport from room to OR, support vaginal deliveries, perform C.N.A. work between cases, and help with circumcision setup and takedown.
- C.N.A. duties on the floor include vital signs, ambulating, stocking, and baby baths.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every 3rd weekend.
- Rarely asked to take call.
- Set hours per week may not apply during orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed.
