    Additional Information

    Required Credentials: Associate Degree or certificate.

    Unit Details: Patient population includes chest pain, abdominal pain, flank pain, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness, awaiting placement, and geri-psych placement. Expected skills include PIV insertion and stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix). Ratios: days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-7. Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignments on night shift. May require precepting students and new hires.

    Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be accepted upon request.

    Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN), 8 miles away, and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY), 11 miles away. 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus. Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
