Required Skills/Experience:
Recent or active chemotherapy administration skills.
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration requires several years of oncology experience.
Vascular access skills, including peripheral IVs, port access, and Hickman/PICC maintenance.
Strong pharmacologic knowledge.
Strong ability to manage hypersensitivity reactions.
Strong skills in lab evaluations and their relationship to oncology treatments.

Special Requests:
Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details:
Outpatient infusion setting caring for oncology and community patients, including long and complex infusions such as Cisplatin, FOLFOX, FOLFIRI, zometa/reclast/zoledronic acid, hydration, blood transfusions, injections, iron, albumin, prolia, rabies series injections, and long- and short-term antibiotics.
Titrates IVIG, rituximab, remicade, IV Darzalex, ocrevus, and blood transfusions.
No dedicated nurse aides; scheduler and manager step in as needed. Most patients are ambulatory and independent with ADLs.
Basic oxygen available.
No telemetry or monitor tech; RNs do not read strips.

Shift & Scheduling:
Self-scheduling; the schedule is balanced and travelers are first to be adjusted if needed.
One weekend day per 4-week schedule.
Holiday coverage is largely governed by the CNA contract; holidays were not mandated last year and patient load is typically light.
No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements:
First to float to inpatient units to provide inpatient chemotherapy.
