Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses/types of patients: joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive. Titrates heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine drips; PCA pumps. Charge nurse takes an assignment. Nurse aides/patient care techs available with ratios of 1:10-20. Tele techs interpret strips; RNs should have some tele awareness. Mechanical lifts in every other room. Multiple discharges and admissions may occur in one day. Serves patients of all cultures, including Spanish, Karen, and Burmese.

Shift & Scheduling: Travelers will be scheduled. Typically every other weekend, though additional coverage may be needed based on department demand. Schedules are posted 6 weeks in advance, with the manager making adjustments as needed. 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Floating Requirements: Float to other medical-surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed.
