Required Skills/Experience See special procedures. Experience with pharmacologic/non-pharmacological pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids.

Preferred Skills/Experience Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details Adult and geriatric patient population. Palliative care focuses on providing relief from the side effects of serious illness. Provides symptom management for patients still under treatment, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue, to improve quality of life. Medical surgical unit dedicated to specialized care for patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses, including advanced illness or imminent end of life, with emphasis on comfort, dignity, symptom management, and emotional and psychosocial support.

Shift & Scheduling Weekend coverage as needed per unit needs.

Floating Requirements Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
