Occupational Therapist

Required Skills/Experience: Stress testing of all kinds (Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress, and nuclear stress testing).

Unit Details: Stress lab/cardiac rehab role. Patient ratios: 1:4 in rehab; one-to-one with stress patients. Uses Case System for stress testing, NuStep and treadmills for rehab patients, and Scottcare. Stress lab is in the main hospital; rehab is across the street at the Sugarhill office.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri for stress testing 7a-11; cardiac rehab Mon-Wed-Fri after stress testing 11a-330p.

Registered Nurse

Required Skills/Experience:
Safe patient handling techniques.
Familiarity with protocols to prevent complications such as autonomic dysreflexia, bowel/bladder programs, and skin integrity/wound prevention.
Training in wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with EMR documentation and compliance, team conferences, family training, and DME recommendations preferred.

Unit Details:
Patient ratios: 1:6 day, 1:8 night.
Uses Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, Hoyer, Viking, and sliding boards.
Documentation includes RehabConnect.
Patient population includes TBI, stroke, orthopedic, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary, and debility.
Procedures performed on unit include e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, and limb wrapping.
Teaching hospital with active student rotations.

Mon-Fri.

Evaluates and treats patients per physician orders/referrals, develops and updates individualized treatment and discharge plans, documents services accurately and timely, supervises COTAs per practice acts and facility policies, and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams and families.

Shift & Scheduling:
Monday-Friday.
No call.

- Inpatient rehab setting focused on interdisciplinary recovery care.
- Primarily cares for patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord dysfunction; also cares for patients recovering from amputations, debility from medical conditions, orthopedic fractures, and major trauma.
- Patients receive a combination of therapy services for a minimum of 3 hours daily.

Shift & Scheduling:
- 4 weekend shifts within 6 weeks.

- Skilled/LTC rehab setting.

- Provides direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist; records treatments given and notes progress in the medical record.
- Treats residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
- Provides patient, family, and caregiver instruction; monitors response to treatment; completes required forms and documentation per company policy and state/federal regulations.

Shift & Scheduling:
- 8:00AM-5:00PM or 9:00AM-6:00PM with occasional weekends.
- Overtime starts after 40 hours.
