Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist OR 1 year current (within the last 5 years) CT Tech experience.
Required Credentials: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited Radiography Program. Must have certification from an accredited CT program or currently registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned a Basic Arrhythmia exam and a Pharmacology exam. If you fail the exams twice, this will result in immediate cancellation by the facility. High school graduate or GED.
Unit Details: Perform computed tomography scanning procedures at a technical level requiring constant attention to technical detail and independent judgment. Operate the control console, select proper imaging techniques, and operate various peripheral hardware and equipment. Maintain, set up, and adjust equipment, checking calibration and recalibrating as necessary. Position patients and adjust immobilization devices as required to obtain optimum views of the specified area. Assist the physician with administration of radiographic contrast media, or direct administration if trained and sanctioned by the radiologist. Assist the physician and/or nurse with monitoring and treatment of patients during procedures. Evaluate images for technical quality.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating evenings 3-11; may also cover 11-7 shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays.
