Additional Information
Failed fit tests due to facial hair and inability to shave automatically disqualify clinicians from proceeding.
Required Credentials:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Unit Details:
- Performs complex CT procedures and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Reviews patient clinical history and contrast questionnaires, prepares CT protocols, obtains outside studies for radiologist comparison, and evaluates imaging in PACS.
- Administers contrast media, performs venipuncture and IV patency/maintenance procedures, and monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures.
- Uses PACS and hospital HIS/RIS systems.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Sun-Thursday schedule (Friday and Saturday off).
- Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required.
- Overtime as needed.
- No on-call required.
