Required Skills / Experience: 4 -5 years experience
Required Credentials: Education: One of the following:
- Completion of an Associate’s Degree with coursework in Anatomy, Biology, and/or Chemistry
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, clinical laboratory sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. with two years of relevant laboratory experience in a work, academic, or volunteer capacity
Coursework completed outside of the US must be verified as by a NACES approved credential evaluation service
Shift & Scheduling: Monday - Friday

Travel Histotechnologist Job Responsibilities & Salary
Job responsibilities for Histotechnologists include preparing tissue samples for examination under the microscope by a pathologist. Preparation involves obtaining a slice of tissue, mounting it on a slide, and staining the sample as indicated to better detect abnormalities. Histotechnologists have expertise in a variety of histologic techniques, such as enzyme histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and in-situ hybridization. Most Histotechnologists obtain certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology. The average annual salary for Histotechnologists in the United States is nearly $60,000.
