Required Credentials:
- BLS accepted from HSI.
Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
Unit Details:
- Orders, prepares, and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
- Operates gamma equipment and thyroid uptake/probe.
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures including SPECT and SPECT/CT.
- Prepares image data for interpretation, including processing, formatting, calculations, and SPECT reconstruction.
- Starts IV catheter lines, injects radioisotopes, and removes IVs.
- Transfers and retrieves image data to PACS.
- Performs equipment quality control and radioactive waste collection/disposal.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mon-Fri.
