Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Preferred 1 year of hospital pharmacy practice experience (full time). If less than full time, will consider with additional years of experience and discussion of skills built during hospital tenure(s).
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience including dispensing and clinical functions preferred.
- Experience with more than one electronic medical record and pharmacy information system preferred.
- Experience with hospital pharmacy automated dispensing machines preferred.
Preferred Credentials:
- PharmD preferred.
Unit Details:
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving adult and geriatric patients with acute rehabilitation diagnoses, including stroke, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, amputations, and trauma.
- Functions independently as the pharmacy with potential remote support.
- Verifies and dispenses medication orders, oversees and approves technician work, performs medication reconciliation, documents clinical interventions, provides anticoagulant monitoring and therapy optimization, supports purchasing and medication inventory management, performs daily medication-use audits and environmental monitoring, and provides drug information education to physicians, nurses, and staff.
- Uses Omnicell.
Shift & Scheduling:
- On-call after hours and weekends; return to pharmacy for emergencies. Call requirements: Yes, unless another pharmacist is delegated.
