Job responsibilities include positioning patients precisely, operating linear accelerators and other treatment machines, following the prescribed treatment plan exactly, monitoring patients for reactions, and maintaining detailed treatment records. Radiation Therapists are certified through the ARRT (T) and work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists.
