    Additional Details:

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques/procedures.
    • Patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers).

    Required Credentials: Graduation from ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology school.

    Unit Details: Performs routine radiographic, fluoroscopic and portable examinations in the diagnostic department of Radiology, on nursing units, outpatient areas and the surgery department. Role includes front desk operations, department-wide exam scheduling, use of the centralized transport program, and computer-based lookup of patient exam information, ordering, reprinting, and canceling. Assists Radiologic Technologist students. Performs duties associated with equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance, ordering of supplies, scheduling of staff, and hospital and departmental audits.

    Shift & Scheduling: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12p-10:30 and Monday 8:30a-7p.

Job responsibilities include positioning patients, selecting the correct exposure settings, capturing clear radiographic images of bones, the chest, and other body regions, and following radiation-protection (ALARA) principles to keep patients and staff safe. Radiologic Technologists are certified through the ARRT (R) and are often the foundation of a facility’s imaging department.
