Required Skills/Experience: OR proficiency.
Unit Details: Common imaging/studies include general chest, spine, and extremities. May cover the OR. Uses PACS. Equipment includes Phillips, GE, Carestream fixed units, and Shimadzu portables. Lead tech coverage 24/7. Radiologist in house during the day until 6 pm; nights are sent to external radiology. No IV starts.
Shift & Scheduling: The first half will be day shift and the 2nd half will be evening shift. Shifts are 8 hours, starting at 8, 330, or 11. Every other weekend evening shift with that Monday off. Holiday flexibility in working. No call.
Floating Requirements: May float/cover X-ray and CT areas.

Job descriptions cover general diagnostic radiography and patient positioning, sometimes with cross-training in CT or other modalities. These roles are rewarding because X-ray imaging is the starting point for so much patient care - and travel contracts typically pay above staff rates.
