Unit Details:
- Fluoro/diagnostic X-rays for inpatients and ED patients, portable X-rays on patient floors, and C-Arm procedures in the OR. Fluoroscopy is minimal but possible.
Shift & Scheduling:
- One weekend per month.
- Call required.
- Holidays required as needed and scheduled.
Floating Requirements:
- Floating between Emergency Department and Diagnostic Department.

Travel X-Ray Tech jobs are widely available in hospitals, urgent care, trauma centers, and outpatient clinics in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Job descriptions cover general diagnostic radiography and patient positioning, sometimes with cross-training in CT or other modalities. These roles are rewarding because X-ray imaging is the starting point for so much patient care - and travel contracts typically pay above staff rates.
