Required Skills/Experience:
- Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
- Must be able to perform Cat Scan and/or Mammography.
Unit Details:
- Smaller rural hospital; staff often work across multiple modalities throughout the day.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Rotational day/evening shifts.
- Rotational weekends.
- On-call: Rotational 12a-7a.
- 40 hrs worked per week plus additional call.

Travel X-Ray Tech jobs are widely available in hospitals, urgent care, trauma centers, and outpatient clinics in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Job descriptions cover general diagnostic radiography and patient positioning, sometimes with cross-training in CT or other modalities. These roles are rewarding because X-ray imaging is the starting point for so much patient care - and travel contracts typically pay above staff rates.
