    Additional Information

    You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Must be able to perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery.
    • Must have recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy/bronchoscopy (some patients have general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation).
    • Highly skilled in sedation.
    • Must sedate bronchs.
    • High acuity - must be willing to do bedside procedures: ICU, ED, etc.
    • Teaching hospital experience is required.
    • Academic Level 1 trauma center or similar size hospital experience required.

    Unit Details:

    • Adult and geriatric patient population.
    • Provide care for patients during GI and bronchoscopy procedures including the administration of sedation.
    • Be an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures.
    • Assume the overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which you are assigned.
    • Uses an RN-driven assessment approach to sedation. Patients are managed within targeted sedation range based on their Ramsay Sedation Scale score.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Day/evening, 8 hr shifts, rotating start times between 630am - 1030am.
    • Weeknight call requirement.
    • May need to stay past end of shift to finish the day's schedule.
