Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from that perm facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Special Requests: Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Eligibility as current/previous employee: no previous employment allowed at this facility. If traveler has preferences, manager is open to working with block scheduling.
Unit Details: Varied Med-Surg patient population including CP, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, ortho, detox, post-op, and pediatric patients. Unit can take most patient types except laboring moms and patients on titrating cardiac drips or insulin drips. RNs are not required to titrate drips. ICU monitors telemetry and faxes strips to Med-Surg for nurse documentation. No charge nurse; house supervisor makes assignments for nurses and aides. 3 nurse aides per shift. Uses CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow; RT assists and manages.
Shift & Scheduling: Manager makes the schedule. Every other weekend required. Holidays rotate with regular staff. Extra shifts may be available. No call.
Floating Requirements: Frequently floats to assist other units as a tasker or extra set of hands.
