    Additional Details:

    Unit Details: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Reviews patient information before evaluations and during treatment, conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments, assists in data collection of patient outcomes, instructs and directs support staff, and supervises assistants and support staff. Rehab office building in the MOB; sees patients in all units of the hospital based on orders received. Staffing ratios: Days 1:12. Weekends 1:20-30 (short-staffed on weekends). Uses physical therapy equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. Special procedures: video swallows. No lift teams.

    Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. At least 1 weekend shift per month on rotation.

    Floating Requirements: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles. Floating is optional but encouraged if other sites need help or if this site needs help.

Depending on needs, they also may work with parents and caregivers. Speech-Language Pathologists can earn certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
