Additional Details:

You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Floating Requirements:

• Must be able to float inpatient.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Must work Saturday and Sunday in the burn unit and pick up 2 other shifts between Monday-Friday.
• Every weekend and 1 day during the week will vary.

Unit Details:

• Adult burn patient population with 0-100% TBSA burns.
• Patients often need physical therapy for limiting issues such as pain and surgical dressings, with a strong focus on mobility and positioning to prevent contractures and scarring.
• You will see up to 8 patients a day on the unit, with 8 being the higher census during cooler months and as few as 2.
• Outpatient PT helps with evals and therapy if time allows.
• Anesthesia monitoring is used for full takedowns, allowing PT/OT to fully range patients when pain is a limiting factor.
• Daily rounds with active therapy team involvement; multidisciplinary rounds every Tuesday to discuss plan of care and disposition.
• Private gym within the burn center with therapy equipment.
