CT Technologist

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Credentials:
Associate degree or certificate.

Unit Details:
Uses GE and Siemens scanners.

Shift & Scheduling:
Mon-Thu.
Every 4th weekend. Every other holiday.
May be placed on call for low census hours. If called back to the facility, minimum callback is 2 hours.

Floating Requirements:
May be required to float to Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford, or Stanley if needed.

- Radiologist not in-house 24/7.

- No self scheduling.

- Common studies/cases include Level II trauma scans, stroke workups, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, head, and pulmonary embolism studies.
- Uses McKesson PACS, Pyxis, and Canon 80-slice and 40-slice scanners.
- Department support includes 2 CT techs during the day and 1 CT tech after 1830, an imaging patient assistant until 2100, a radiology nurse until 1600, phlebotomy in the hospital, house supervisor IV support after hours, a lead CT technologist on day shift, and RT/MRI/X-ray support 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling:
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.
- No call.
- If a holiday falls on a scheduled day, it will be worked.
- Set schedule.
