Required Skills/Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in microbiology setting in a large hospital (300+ beds) required.
A minimum of 3-5 years reading cultures required.
Must be able to read complex cultures with minimal training.
Large facility/high-volume experience required.
Teaching hospital experience is required.

Required Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology or clinical microbiology required.

Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details:
Microbiology laboratory work includes Gram stains, processing, and rapid molecular testing.
Perform testing in the clinical laboratories at any complexity.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution.
May take on teaching/training responsibilities as needed.

Shift & Scheduling:
Rotating weekends approximately 1 in 4.
