Additional Information
Required Credentials:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
- EKG training required.
- Annual EKG competency review required.
Preferred Credentials:
- Nuclear Medicine Certification preferred.
- ODC preferred.
Unit Details:
- Provides sterile diagnostic and interventional care for young adult through elderly patients.
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and interventional radiology procedures, including Cardiac Cath and interventional procedures (PTCA, PCI, Rotablator, CSI, Penumbra), balloon pump/Impella insertion, IVUS, FFR/iFR, vascular procedures, vascular access, temporary pacemaker insertion, arterial and venous closure devices, Spectranetics laser, thermodilution and invasive hemodynamics calculations, structural heart procedures (TAVR, Watchman, PFO closures, MitraClips), pacemaker/ICD placement, loop recorder insertion/removal, radiofrequency ablations, cryoablations, electrical pulse field ablations, EP procedures, and synchronized cardioversion/defibrillation.
- Uses Acist device, Philips XPER hemodynamic monitoring system, X-ray equipment, and other Cath Lab equipment.
- Includes maintaining/pulling arterial and/or venous sheaths, maintaining contrast volume and contrast delivery methods, assisting in the care of critically ill patients, gathering data for PCI registry, ACT, patient transport, and postmortem care.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Call coverage 24/7 (365 days) with a 30-minute hospital arrival time.
