    Additional Details:

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 trauma experience.
    • Skillset requirement: Minimum 2 years experience, Level 1 Trauma Center, Vascular, Thoracic (surgery cases). Receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing them for cannulation, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Heart and Lung Transplant, Valve Replacement, and Aortic Dissection.
    • Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)

    Preferred Skills/Experience: -Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

    • Community Hospital Experience:Preferred -Preferred Skills: Ambulatory OR, General OR, Hybrid OR, Teaching Hospital, Trauma, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Crash Cart, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant

    Required Credentials:

    • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

    Special Requests:

    • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
    • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
    • IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include Periop/OR RNs, allied, and ambulatory RN travelers. Periop includes Endo, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
    • RTO: 5 days of non-holiday time off or less can be auto-approved. Anything more requires facility approval.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Call requirement: 90-120 hours of call in a 6 week schedule.
    • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
