Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous experience in Sleep Medicine.
Required Credentials: Associate's degree from an Accredited School in Polysomnography.
Preferred Credentials: Will consider a respiratory therapist without RPSGT in an AASM‑accredited sleep center, but they must be registered by an accepted body or meet AASM’s training requirements, and scoring duties require either their own sleep specialist certification or supervision by a credentialed sleep professional: -RRT with RPSGT or equivalent: No additional training needed; can perform technical and scoring duties independently. -RRT without RPSGT but with RST/RRT‑SDS: No A‑STEP/program training required; can perform duties within scope. -RRT without RPSGT and no other accepted credential: Must complete A‑STEP or accredited polysomnography program within 2 years; can perform technical duties but scoring must be supervised. -Scoring without RPSGT or sleep specialist cert: Must be supervised by a credentialed sleep specialist/technologist.
