Additional Details:
Required Credentials: Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted. Associate's Degree in Related Field OR Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Interventional Neurology is preferred. Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting.
Unit Details: Works in the Heart & Vascular Institute with patients requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies. Administers contrast by existing IV line or by venipuncture/placing an IV line and monitors for hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. Peripheral vascular work; venous central lines; tube changes; embolization work (venous and arterial); venous thrombectomy; dialysis work (AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, peritoneal dialysis catheters); tube access and changes (G-tube, chole, neph, biliary, abscess, SPC); neuro procedures including cerebral arterial/venous cases and kyphoplasty.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend and holiday call-only rotation. On-call duties and late shift duties as assigned to meet department needs.
Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
