Additional Information
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RNs, allied and ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes Endo, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Required Skills/Experience: Ability to attend high-risk deliveries.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Best fit would be adult travelers with Labor & Delivery experience.
Unit Details: Neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Community-based facility with high-risk deliveries, NICU II, adult acute care, and ER coverage. Community-based emergency department; pediatric care may be required in the emergency room.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required (Saturday, Sunday). Holiday coverage required. Must work 2 of the 3 holidays; leadership will determine the 2 holidays.
Floating Requirements: Will be required to rotate in the following areas: Emergency Department, adult ICU, adult Med Surg unit, adult Progressive Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, and NICU. Will float between high-risk deliveries and NICU II (30-40% within a 13 week assignment), adult acute care, and ER. This position is not home based and will float to meet unit needs and skill set on arrival. Will float within skill set and to other IU facilities.
