Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Basic nuclear medicine principles and practices; able to start IVs; experience with GE equipment and SPECT CT.
Unit Details: Cares for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients; cases include cardiac, GI, pulmonary, oncology, PET, and DAT scans. Staffing model is 2-3 techs/day with 7-18 patients/day between cardiac and general work. PET is an independent workflow with 1 tech/day supporting 5 patient slots/day. Uses GE 850, McKesson PACS, and Nuc Trak. Free parking
Special Requests: Manager to approve all RTO.
Shift & Scheduling: NM start time varies 0630-0800; PET start time is 0630. Weekend rotation is on-call only. On-call is one weekday per week from end of shift until 0600 the following morning and every fourth weekend from end of shift Friday until 0600 Monday. Holiday call only, potential for 1 holiday per contract.
Floating Requirements: For the second half of the contract, will rotate with staff between Nuclear Medicine and the PET department at the Cancer Center (different building, about 0.8-1 mile away).
