Required Skills/Experience:

• Endoscopic vein harvesting is required.

Unit Details:

• CVOR first-assist role with cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and transplant cases including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, CABG, ECMO insertion/decannulation, endovascular aneurysm repair, EVAR, TAVR, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, thoracotomy, VATS, ventricular assist device cases, lung resection, and heart cases.
• First-assist responsibilities include harvesting saphenous vein, inserting drainage tubes, suturing wound layers including muscle and fascia, suctioning, irrigation, sponging, tying and ligating clamped vessels or tissues, and wound dressing.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Call requirements: Typically every third day Monday-Thursday from 3:30 PM-7:00 AM. Weekend call is every third week: Friday on call from 3:30 PM-7:00 AM; Saturday-Sunday call from 7:00 AM-7:00 AM.
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend, subject to change to every third or fourth weekend.
