Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience: Handling open heart procedures and working in a general OR.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment for a DNU check. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity.
Unit Details: Common cases include CABG, vascular, and lung cases. Works on a CVOR team embedded in the general OR; when not doing cardiovascular cases, may assist with general, ortho, urology, and ENT cases.
Shift & Scheduling: On-call 10-15 days per month, including nights and weekends, with holidays as needed; 15-minute response time. Call is somewhat self-scheduled.
Floating Requirements: Will work in the general OR when not doing CV cases.
