If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have strong experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. No first-time travelers or new clinicians.
Unit Details: Uses Epic. Common cases include cardiac surgery cases such as CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant; thoracic surgery including robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy (open and robotic), POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport, EGD, and GI and respiratory stents; and vascular surgery including diagnostic angiography and percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation.
Shift & Scheduling: Day and evening shift options are open at this time. Call required: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend of call per month, and holiday call as needed. 30 min call response time.
Floating Requirements: May need to float within other services of Berkeley OR.
