Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist required. Scrub assist experience required.
Required Credentials: High School Diploma/GED. Associate degree. OR Completion of accredited radiographic program.
Unit Details: Assists the proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases, scrubbing side by side with the specialty proceduralist. Uses floor- and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines. Identifies, retrieves, and circulates complex products during interventional procedural cases. Operates power injection of iodinated contrast media devices during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintains sterile technique and infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load. Documentation in the electronic medical record and sending images to Sectra/PACS. Groin management post intervention. Role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist and includes operating x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
Shift & Scheduling: 3-12 twelve-hour shifts or 4-10 hour shift with on-call every 4th weekend and 1 day per week.
