Required Skills/Experience: Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement. 3-5+ years of experience. Must be proficient in Gen NM as well as PET.
Unit Details: Common procedures include WB Bone scans, lung scans, Gastric emptying, renal scans, Hida scans, Thyroid uptake and scan, Thyroid wb scans, Datscan brain scans, Lympho scans, Parathyroid scan, FDG PET, and Specialty PET. Most common equipment: GE/Siemens.
Shift & Scheduling: M-F. On-call includes one weekday per week (4:30p-10p) and one weekend per month (Sat/Sun 7a-10p). Likely one holiday over the course of the contract given the time of year. On-call callbacks are typically for HIDA, GI Bleed, Brain Death and Lungs. The call back rate is not significant; one technologist on this same schedule has not been called back in the last 4 months.
Floating Requirements: Float between NM and PET as needed for direct patient care as well as indirect patient care such as patient reminder calls; 10+ nuc med per day, 12-14 PET/CT.
