Required Skills/Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience required.

Unit Details:

• The patient population is adults.
• Care includes neurological rehabilitation for brain, spinal cord, and nerve injuries or disease; traumatic or non-traumatic spinal cord injuries; brain injuries; stroke rehabilitation; amputations; orthopedics; wound care; and respiratory therapy.
• Neurological patients may have difficulty moving, speaking, swallowing, breathing, or learning.
• Brain injury rehabilitation addresses physical dysfunction, cognitive impairments, and behavioral issues.
• Orthopedic rehabilitation includes patients recovering from fractures, dislocations, or joint replacements, with gait training, stair climbing, transfer training, muscle strengthening and endurance, fall safety, dressing, bathing, toileting, and vehicle operation.
• PT/OT staff oversee about 9 patients; therapists report on these patients in team conference but do not necessarily see them every day.
• Respiratory care includes oxygen, tracheostomy care, CPAP, and BiPAP.
• The hospital provides IV antibiotic therapy and PICC line insertion.
• Equipment includes In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VR.

Shift & Scheduling:

• The regular schedule is Monday-Friday.
• One 8-hour weekend shift is required each month on Saturday or Sunday.

Floating Requirements:

• May float to the Gilbert location (15 minutes away) if needed due to census.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
