Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Circulate and conscious sedation required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
Special Requests: Local travelers accepted; Indiana residents are considered local. IU Health will not allow Indiana RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include Periop/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.
Unit Details: Adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population. Cardiac procedures include LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temp pacer, perm pacer/defib, pericardial effusion, and STEMI call. IR procedures include venous access, drains placement, GI tube insertion, PE, DVTs, Tips, PV, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embos, and GI/postpartum/other internal bleeds.
Shift & Scheduling: Call minimum 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend.
Travel Cath Lab/Interventional Tech Job Responsibilities & Salary
Job responsibilities for Cath Lab Techs include preparing the patient and equipment for procedures and assisting during the procedure. Cath Lab Techs need to understand sterile techniques to protect patients from infection, and they may monitor the patient during the procedure to detect complications. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists offers certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography. The average annual salary for Cath Lab Techs in the United States is more than $60,000; the average annual salary for Cardiovascular Technologists (which can be another title for Cath Lab Tech) is more than $70,000.
