Required Credentials:
- Fluoro required
Special Requests:
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Average 2-4 cases per day.
- Common procedures and cases include dialysis catheters, IVC, TIPPS, and CT biopsy support.
- Adult patients only; no pediatric patients. Includes inmate population.
- Uses GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, AngioJet, and RadNet.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Rotational call after hours.
- Weekend call is Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM.
- Holiday call rotation.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float.
- May support two campuses.
Travel Cath Lab/Interventional Tech Job Responsibilities & Salary
Job responsibilities for Cath Lab Techs include preparing the patient and equipment for procedures and assisting during the procedure. Cath Lab Techs need to understand sterile techniques to protect patients from infection, and they may monitor the patient during the procedure to detect complications. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists offers certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography. The average annual salary for Cath Lab Techs in the United States is more than $60,000; the average annual salary for Cardiovascular Technologists (which can be another title for Cath Lab Tech) is more than $70,000.
