Required Skills/Experience:
- Teaching Hospital Experience.
- Required Skills: Interventional Radiology, PACS, Siemens, Angioplasty, Chest Tube Placement, Embolization, ERCP, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, IVC filter placement, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Radio embolization, Stent placement, Thoracentesis, Carotid Angiography, Discogram, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Vertebroplasty, TIPS, Carotid Stenting, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision, Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), Endovascular Interventions, Upper/Lower Extremity Angiography, PICC Line/Central Line Care, C-Arm, Esophageal Stent Placement.
- Special Requirements: Work Experience with Outpatient, Inpatient and Adult ICU required. Experience with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast and Biopsies is required. Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, Abd and Pelvis and upper/lower extremity is required.
- Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils
- Must be able to use micro catheters and micro wires
- Must be able to use Snare Kits
- Must be able to use injector systems, preferable ACIST
Preferred Skills/Experience: Catheter/drain exchange, Cystoscopy, Gastrostomy, Nephrostomy, Percutaneous Stone Extraction, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Ureteral Stent Placement, Liver biopsy/ablations, Kyphoplasty.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend: Call is assigned an average of 10 days per month, which includes a weekend.
Other Requirements: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Cath Lab Techs need to understand sterile techniques to protect patients from infection, and they may monitor the patient during the procedure to detect complications. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists offers certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography. The average annual salary for Cath Lab Techs in the United States is more than $60,000; the average annual salary for Cardiovascular Technologists (which can be another title for Cath Lab Tech) is more than $70,000.
