Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate oxytocin and insulin drips; epidural rates are managed by CRNAs. Labor RNs must be able to read their own strips and document according to AWHONN standards.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Transition skills preferred.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: active labor patients receiving oxytocin are 1:1, general labor is 1:1-2, and postpartum staffing is typically 1:3 couplets. Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum/couplet care, triage, and C-section patients requiring circulating support. Uses the OBEX fetal monitoring system. Post-op C-section patients receive 1:1 recovery care for 2 hours. Level 3 NICU high-risk delivery team is available in-house 24/7, with respiratory therapy located in the NICU on the same floor.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays as required. On-call may be required if needed.

Floating Requirements: Expected to float throughout the hired zone. If census is low, may float to MedSurg for aide work, sitter duties, or helping-hands support when appropriate.
